Maybelline VS Revlon

On Saturday I purchased one of the New Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lip Color in Touch of Spice.  I put the color on as soon as I got home.  I wore it all night.  It lasted so well and looked so great.  The more I looked at the color, I realized it started to remind me of another color I already own-- Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Sultry.

I will show the swatches and then go into the review of these colors.

The swatch on the left is the Maybelline and the swatch on the right is the Revlon.

As you can see they are pretty much the exact same color.  On my hand, or on white paper you can see that the Revlon is a little more red, but they are extremely close on the lips.

Now, which one do I like better?  I purchased the Revlon one last winter.  I thought it was super smooth, long wearing, non drying.  I have not worn the Maybelline one as much, but it does seem to have a very light feel on the lips, is long wearing, and is not drying at all.  The Revlon is slightly more drying than the Maybelline.  

Overall, I think both are great lip products and it would depend which format you like your lip products.  The Revlon one is in a chubby stick type packaging, whereas the Maybelline is in a classic lipstick format.
